JAMES LEE SORENSON CENTER FOR GLOBAL IMPACT INVESTING
The James Lee Sorenson Global Impact Investing Center (SGII Center) at the University of Utah’s David Eccles School of Business provides data-driven capacity building support to leading entrepreneurs, impact investment funds, family offices, foundations, and organizations across the globe in a cost-efficient manner. The SGII Center’s model is built by university experiential education where trained and professionally managed students provide research, due diligence, value-add and support across the impact investing space. This world-class experiential education is building the field today, while also providing the services needed to grow the sector for the future.
EWING MARION KAUFFMAN FOUNDATION
Established in the mid-1960s by the late entrepreneur and philanthropist Ewing Marion Kauffman, the Kauffman Foundation is based in Kansas City, Mo., and is among the largest private foundations in the United States with an asset base of approximately $2 billion. Their vision is to foster a society of economically independent individuals who are engaged citizens in their communities.
Revolution and "rise of the Rest"
Revolution's "Rise of the Rest" with Steve Case is a nationwide effort to tell the story that high-growth companies can now start and scale anywhere and work with entrepreneurs in emerging startup ecosystem. Since 2014, Steve Case, the Revolution team, and partners have visited 19 cities and invested a total of $2 million in new businesses.
